Mt. Sinai is rooted in a legacy of caring, dating back to the hospital’s founding in 1903. This tradition continues today through our grantmaking process that seeks to empower organizations working to support the following areas:
We support efforts to improve the physical and mental health of our founding constituency by collaborating with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and other organizations committed to this cause.
We strive to bolster Cleveland’s position as a national leader in medical education and biomedical science by collaborating with the region’s academic medical community on opportunities to build organizational capacity and advance progress.
We seek to advance projects and strategic initiatives in the area of health policy in a way that maximizes the effectiveness of government in meeting its safety-net obligations and the obligations of the Affordable Care Act.
Is your organization planning an initiative that can improve health outcomes in Greater Cleveland? If your project fits within one of the Foundation's grantmaking areas, Mt Sinai staff want to hear from you!
