IMPrOVING health IN Greater Cleveland

Mt. Sinai is rooted in a legacy of caring, dating back to the hospital’s founding in 1903. This tradition continues today through grantmaking that empowers organizations working to support the following areas:

Our Areas of Grantmaking

We support efforts to improve the physical and mental health of our founding constituency by collaborating with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and other organizations committed to this cause.
In the tradition of The Mt. Sinai Medical Center, the Foundation is committed to improving the health of Greater Cleveland's most vulnerable individuals and families. To achieve impact in this area, scale is a significant factor.
We strive to bolster Cleveland’s position as a national leader in medical education and biomedical science by collaborating with the region’s academic medical community on opportunities to build organizational capacity and advance progress.
We seek to advance projects and strategic initiatives in the area of health policy in a way that maximizes the effectiveness of government in meeting its safety-net obligations and the obligations of the Affordable Care Act.
