Melanie Gavin joined the Foundation in 1998. She is a CPA and prior to joining the Foundation worked for Ernst &Young, where she worked on the Mt. Sinai Medical Center audit. Melanie performs all finance and accounting functions for the Foundation, including monthly financial statement preparation, budget preparation and monitoring, investment transfers and activities, and handles human resource matters. Melanie works with the outside accounting firm for the annual audit of the Foundation, as well, as the preparation of the tax filings.
